This program started its educational activities in our school in the 2017-2018 Academic Year with a capacity of 120 students. As of today, student admission continues with a capacity of 50.
The Emergency and Disaster Management associate degree program offers a 2-year comprehensive education. To graduate from the program, students must successfully complete the compulsory and elective courses totaling 120 ECTS in the curriculum and then successfully complete a 30-day summer internship.
This program provides students with general Emergency and Disaster Management education while ensuring they become individuals capable of producing solutions and possessing strong communication skills. Students graduate by specializing in pre-disaster planning, safety during emergencies, evacuation, and legal practices. Graduates receive the title of Emergency and Disaster Management Technician.
Students who graduate from the Emergency and Disaster Management program, in line with the competencies they have gained, can be employed in provincial directorates affiliated with the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, Disaster Management and Coordination centers, fire departments, NGOs, public institutions and organizations (hospitals, schools, etc.), and relevant units of local administrations.
