Civil Defense and Firefighting

Since it is a Örgün Öğretim programı, there is no tuition fee.

The language of instruction of the department is Turkish. Students take theoretical and practical courses related to the department during the two years of their associate degree education (4 academic semesters). There is an obligation to complete a 30 working day internship before graduation. In this way, our students will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills by reinforcing the knowledge and experience they have gained during their education through internships they will undertake in public/private institutions and organizations.

Our vocational school affiliated with Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University is located in Burdur's Altınyayla district.

In our school, students are offered the opportunity for a double major. If our students meet the necessary conditions, they can take courses from another department in our school and also graduate from the Emergency and Disaster Management department.

No certificate is required from Turkish national students during the application process. Foreign national students who will study in the department must have a C level of Turkish language proficiency and must certify that they know Turkish at the C level.

In order for graduates not to experience problems in their professional lives, it is appropriate that they do not have phobias related to psychological and nervous disorders such as fear of open spaces (agoraphobia), closed spaces (claustrophobia), blood (hemophobia), darkness (nyctophobia), and heights (acrophobia), and that they do not have biological disorders such as color blindness, stuttering, deafness, etc., and that they do not have problems such as asthma, bronchitis, epilepsy, shortness of breath, fainting, hysteria, or morbid palpitations.

Additionally, it is mandatory for our students who will enroll in the program to wear the educational attire determined by the college in practical courses. The provision of the attire is the responsibility of the student.

According to the law numbered 5102, 1% of the student quotas in the ÖSYM Guide is allocated to universities as scholarship quotas. Additionally, scholarship opportunities provided to students by other institutions are also announced to students via the faculty website and corporate social media accounts.

It is a unit operating within Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. It is an educational program aimed at determining the field in which the student is considering a career through psychometric measurements and career counseling, and equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies in information technologies required by this career field. Students accepted to MAKÜ Career School, who complete the trainings determined by the Board of Directors and participate in activities compatible with their career field (conference, interview, panel, technical trip, workshop, etc.), are awarded the MAKÜ Career School Diploma, which documents the entire development process. Students participating in the trainings and career activities conducted within the scope of MAKÜ Career School are given an official participation certificate or achievement certificate approved by the Center for each completed training or activity. The achievement certificate or participation certificate can be issued in printed or electronic form.
